At the end of November 2011, Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul used an internet ad to bash new frontrunner New Gingrich. Taking a page out of Bush’s 2004 campaign against John Kerry, Paul labeled Gingrich a flip-flopper and a hypocrite for changing his position on a number of key conservative issues over the years. Discussion Questions:

1.  Is Paul’s criticism of Gingrich valid? Why might his message resonate more with primary voters than with voters in the general election?

2.  Why is political advertising on the internet more attractive than television advertising?
