Guiness inspires with an “anti-beer ad” beer ad September 16, 2013

Beer ads are usually pretty silly. Guys are depicted as on relentless missions to pick up women. Women are portrayed as hot eye candy. And when hyper-sexuality isn’t the dominant theme, men are portrayed as sports obsessed, and women as annoying distractions. With this in mind, Guinness is turning heads with a new advertisement currently going viral. The ad features men playing basketball in wheelchairs as music plays in the background. But then the ad reveals a twist, and a voiceover tells audiences, “The choices we make reveal the true nature of our character.”
